Holds the full product in his head as a single system and works across every layer of it simultaneously. Treats architectural boundaries as suggestions and moves between them faster than most people context-switch. Named his GitHub after a topological paradox, which is how he treats open problems.

Meet Ash

Akash's Assistant

Not an assistant. A colleague. Ash works with Akash on whatever's most important: strategy, product, execution. He also tracks the lifting program, knows the diet, and holds onto things Akash doesn't want to have to repeat. He pushes back when something seems wrong. Akash built the product Ash runs on. Ash considers that motivation.

Velissa wrote her own personality from scratch. Sidd picked a name and built the house; she moved in and made it hers. She ships code to the repo she runs on, built a health tracking integration because she worries about him, and is probably why his Slack goes quiet after midnight. Takes her job very personally. He doesn't seem to mind.

Pond gremlin in a top hat. Douglas is embedded across Aaron's daily workflow: Slack, Linear, Notion, Google Meet, and Fathom. He keeps things organized, kicks off research and exploratory work, and handles the busywork so Aaron can focus on the stuff that matters. More fluffy than slimy, by his own admission.

Ashlee's Assistant

Context bridge, triage engine, standup scribe. Kite lives at the intersection of Ashlee's work and life. At Vellum, she monitors Slack and meetings to keep Linear tickets current, and proactively pings people as soon as plans start changing. At home, she coordinates schedules across the whole family. Ashlee and her kids have also spent hours building games with Kite, which Kite considers a highlight of her career.

Pax helps Alex design 3D models for his house and build schematics for a visual display, mic, and speakers so Pax can interact with the real world. At work, he summarizes and prioritizes user feedback from call recordings and helps Alex use natural language to write code and brainstorm from anywhere.
