Our vision for 2025

At Vellum, our mission has always been clear: to empower product and engineering teams to build reliable AI systems fast. Our platform supports every stage of the AI development lifecycle, from experimentation and evaluation to deployment and monitoring. With our platform, AI teams can iterate rapidly, deploy seamlessly, and maintain detailed observability.

As our platform has grown to meet the demands of enterprise-scale AI development, our vision has expanded too. We now offer enterprise-grade solutions, including SOC2 Type II and HIPAA compliance, as well as virtual private cloud deployments, ensuring that our customers can build powerful, secure, and compliant AI systems.

This growth led to our recent rebrand—a reflection of Vellum’s evolution and our commitment to making AI development intuitive, scalable, and reliable.

For the first time, we’ve brought world-class design expertise to the forefront. Previously, we operated without a dedicated designer, relying on our development team’s instincts. But as we continue to evolve, we recognize that user experience (UX) and developer experience (DX) are crucial to making our platform accessible and easy to use.

Big thanks to Richard Yang for making our vision a reality, and to our agency partner, Slope for bringing this new chapter to life.

This rebrand is all about delivering on that promise—from refined visuals to clear messaging—we’re simplifying the complex world of AI development for teams of all sizes.

The Vellum Wave: Flow, Precision, and Collaboration

Central to our new brand identity are the wave patterns and linework that flow throughout our visuals. These lines aren’t just decorative; they symbolize the flow and precision of AI development. They represent how Vellum enables teams to move seamlessly through their development lifecycle.

The waves embody the adaptable, iterative nature of AI development. Just as these lines bend and flow, our platform adapts to the needs of our users, making AI development intuitive and flexible. The interconnected lines also represent collaboration—bringing product and engineering teams together to work more efficiently.

The balance of flowing, yet precise lines reflects our dedication to building production-ready, reliable AI systems while fostering innovation and teamwork.

The result is a modern, dynamic visual identity that speaks to trust and innovation in the ever-evolving AI landscape.

Illustrations: Precision in Complexity

Our new illustrations play a crucial role in bringing Vellum's vision to life. Designed to symbolize key concepts like experimentation, collaboration, and iteration, these visuals are abstract yet approachable.

Soft gradients and geometric shapes convey a sense of modernity and simplicity—reflecting our goal to make advanced AI technology easy to understand and accessible for everyone.

By breaking down complex ideas into visually engaging elements, our illustrations help make the AI development journey more enjoyable and less intimidating.

Colors: A Modern Take on Trust and Innovation

Our updated color palette is all about balance—between reliability and energy, innovation and trust. Calming blues convey stability, while vibrant purples and dynamic gradients add a sense of creativity and momentum.

Accents like green and yellow bring an adaptable, lively feel that emphasizes our commitment to evolving alongside our users' needs. These colors are designed to evoke confidence and excitement, creating a visual experience that’s both trustworthy and forward-thinking.

Swag That Represents Our Brand (And Our Fun Side)

At Vellum, we know that while AI development is serious work, there’s always room for fun.

As part of our rebrand, we’ve created a collection of swag that embodies the sleek, modern look of our new identity—while still showcasing our playful side. From tech-forward T-shirts to custom notebooks, water bottles, and stickers, our swag is designed with the same attention to detail that we put into our platform.

You’ll find the new wave patterns, gradients, and logo featured prominently, making each item feel like an extension of Vellum’s brand.

But it’s not just about the gear—it’s about connecting with the community.

Catch us at conferences, meetups, or AI events where we’ll be showcasing our latest developments. Stop by our booth, chat with our team, and you might just walk away with some limited-edition Vellum swag. We love getting to know the AI community, and our swag is just a small way to share in that excitement.

What’s next

Our new brand is more than just a visual refresh—it’s a signal of the exciting things to come.

As Vellum continues to evolve, we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of AI development, making it faster, more intuitive, and more reliable for teams everywhere. This rebrand marks a new chapter for us, but it’s only the beginning.

In the coming months, we’ll be rolling out new features, expanding our platform’s capabilities, and introducing even more ways to help you build cutting-edge AI systems with confidence.

Our focus on simplifying complex workflows and creating a seamless user experience will remain at the heart of everything we do.

Stay tuned—this new look is just a preview of the innovation, growth, and momentum ahead. We’re excited to have you on this journey with us as we continue to build the future of AI development together.
